Challenger 7 Memorial Park

In 1986, Commissioner El Franco Lee named Challenger Seven Memorial Park in honor of the seven NASA astronauts who lost their lives in the explosion of the Challenger Space Shuttle. Located in the park, is a monument commemorating the loss of these heroes.

It is located on the south east side of Houston heading toward Galveston. There is a lake where people can fish, but there are trails for hiking and running.

We hiked this trail a while back. There really is not much to see. It it set off from the roads making it peaceful and quaint. Even though the sign below said there were wild hogs, we did not see any.
